Civil Protection highlights the "good development" of fires when 15 are still active
Progress is slow in the focus on the different provinces of Spain, although some of them have already been considered under control.

The Director General of Civil Protection and Emergencies, Virginia Barcones, has stated that it is a "good situation" regarding the development of fires that continue to affect several provinces of Spain, but has reiterated that these advances are "very slow" and that15 firesremain active .
At a press conference following the meeting of the State Coordinating Committee and the State Coordinating and Steering Committee of the National Civil Protection System (CEDOD), Barcones stated that 14 of these 15 fires are in the second division, that the fires in Larouco and Oimbra (Ourense) have stabilized and seven have been declared under control.
Last night, conditions in the provinces of Leongo and Zamorahave continued to improve and it has been possible to "stabilize the control lines on the broad perimeters", although there is still a "chance" that the fire will multiply.
Specifically, the Military Emergency Unit (EMU) is working on nine fires , seven of which are active, and continue to work on the fires in Larouco and Oimbra, although they have stabilized.
