A 20-year-old man has been arrested in Barakaldo for hitting a police patrol with his vehicle, assaulting an officer and hiding in a house.
According to the Department of Safety and Security in a statement, on Friday a patrol of the Ertzaintza intercepted the man with three court orders against him - a warrant for his imprisonment and two others for his arrest - in the town of Barakaldo and tried to stop him, but the driver hit the police car, left the car and managed to flee.
The car had no ITV and no insurance, and it drove without points.
A few hours after the search for the escaped young man, he was found in a park in Barakaldo. Two plainclothes officers approached them and identified themselves as policemen. At that moment he punched one of them in the face and kicked one of them, and fled to a nearby building.
