Renfe has launched an alternative road transport plan on Sunday morning to move affected passengers to their final destination or at least to the Toulouse station, but traffic has resumed around 7 p.m.
Train traffic between the Guipuzcoan municipalities of Villabona and Tolosa has been interrupted since Sunday morning due to the fall of several posts on the track, Adif reported.
However, traffic has been restored around 7 p.m. Renfe has reported delays of about 10 minutes since then.
The problem has affected thecommuter trains that Renfe uses in Gipuzkoa , as well as medium and long distance trains such as toMadrid or Miranda de Ebro .
Among the train services that have been suspended have been all the trains of the C1 line of the suburbs of San Sebastián, the train that was to depart from San Sebastián to Madrid at 08:20, the 8:13 between Miranda de Ebro and Andoain, the Intercity service between San Sebastián and Madrid at 14:07, the 14:15 between Andoain and Madrid, and the Alvia between San Sebastián and Madrid at 16:52.
In view of this situation, Renfe has putin place a plan to provide alternative road transport for affected passengers to their final destination or at leastto the Toulouse station , from where they have been able to continue their journey by train.
A worker told theBasque Daily that the suspension could be extended throughout the day, while it lasted until 7:00.
