One of the local employees reported, among other things, that he had been subjected to humiliating treatment and forced to use drugs.
The Ertzaintza has arrested in Aduna(Gipuzkoa) a 66-year-old man accused of sexual exploitation through prostitution and attempted sexual assault who, according to the Basque Government's Department of Security, is responsible for a brothel and whose investigation was triggered last Saturday by a complaint after denouncing the situation suffered by a club employee .
The woman explained that the manager of the premises imposed unbearable conditions on them, forcing them to work for hours without rest, and obliging them to provide services against their will. She also denounced the humiliating treatment to which the workers were subjected, and once the manager tried to sexually assault her, but managed to escape from the room.
According to the complaint, the head of the club offered narcotic substances to both the clients and those working there, encouraging them to consume them. The woman had been suffering from these situations for months for fear of reprisals, and finally decided to go to the Ertzaintza on Saturday.
Following the investigation, the 66-year-old man was arrested on Monday morning. The Department of Safety and Security has indicated that the man is charged with a crime of sexual exploitation and attempted sexual assault.
