The stretch between Barakaldo and Santurtzi will be made by bus until the breakdown in the catenary of the Renfe Suburbs is resolved
The services between Barakaldo and Bilbao, as well as between Bilbao and Muskiz, are being provided as usual, however, in the case of the Bilbao-Santurtzi route, the trains operate only to the Barakaldo Desert Station.
The C-1 commuter line between Desertu Barakaldo and Santurtzi will continue to be suspended until further notice. Renfe offersalternative road transport with the same frequency as trains.
Rail traffic between Barakaldo and Santurtzi has been interrupted since last Monday due to an incident affecting the electrification of the C-1 commuter line, according to Renfe. Meanwhile, services between Barakaldo and Bilbao and between Bilbao and Muskiz are normally provided. However, in the case of the Bilbao-Santurtzi route, trains only travel to Barakaldo station.
To ensure passenger service, Renfe has set up a bus service between Desertu Barakaldo and Santurtzi with the same frequency as trains.
As explained by thecompany, the goal is to maintain the frequency of the line while Adif is repairing the breakdown and restoring the electrical voltage in the affected section.
