The incident occurred at noon last Saturday. Around 3:00 p.m., the emergency services received an alert callfroma boat fishing about 12 miles north of Ribadesella (Asturias). The captain reported that 12 of the 16 crew members of the ship (of Senegalese origin) had threatened him.
Upon learning of the incident, a patrol of the Civil Guardset out to assistthe fishing vessel , which had been spotted north of Villaviciosa and contacted the captain, and the situation was normalized, and there was no need for any intervention at sea.
