Following the asphalting of Iparraguirre Street, the Provincial Council of Bizkaia has completed the workof covering the historic trench affected by the BI-637 road in Rtatza (Leioa).
It has taken them two and a half years to cover the road that divided the township into two, and thanks to the work done there they now have a new boulevard of 18,000 square meters, wider sidewalks and roads and less noise.
More than 90,000 vehicles pass through this road every day.
The works started in April 2023 with a budget of EUR 65.2 million and had a period of three and a half years to complete them.
Now all that remains is to change some tiles in the centre of the Boulevard, with which the work will be finished, next Wednesday.
