Bilbao City Council will implement the OTA in Zorrozaurre
Following the opening of the bridge connecting the island to San Ignacio, the number of vehicles parked has increased.
The Mobility and Sustainability Area reports that the Bilbao City Council will implement the OTA in Zorrotzaurre in the first quarter of 2026 .
Many drivers from Deusto, San Ignacio and Sarriko choose to park in Zorrozaurre so as not to pay for the OTA that applies in those neighborhoods, making it difficult for neighborsto park and those who go to the island to work or study.
The decision of the Bilbao City Council comes after the recent annexation of the neighborhoods of Rekalde and Olabeaga into the parking system; the inclusion of Zorrotzaurre on the map of the OTA of Bilbao in the first quarter of 2026.
