Dani Alvarez has won the Basque Journalists Award
The 2025 Basque Journalism Awards will be presented on November 5 at 7 p.m. in the BBK Hall of the Gran Vía de Bilbao.
The Basque Association of Journalists and the Basque College of Journalists have announced the\u00A0 2025 Basque Journalism Awards, which this year have awarded the following persons and institutions:
Daniel Alvarez, in the category Basque Journalists Award; Almudena Ariza, Joss María Portell Prize for Freedom of Expression; Manuel Alvarez, Professional Career Award; Gorka Lejarcegi, Juantxu Rodríguez Prize for Photojournalism; Durango Fair, Character or Social Organization Award; 5W, Digital Journalism Award and Living Nature Award.
The Basque Journalists Award, awarded by Dani Alvarez, aims to recognize "professionals who are an example and pride in our profession for their work in or outside the Basque Country".
Although born in A Coruña, Dani Álvarez studied journalism at the UPV and has developed his professional career in Euskal Irrati Telebista. In 2000 he joined Radio Euskadi as a fellow and became director of local information.
