On Tuesday, the Municipal Police arrested four people in Pamplona on suspicion of sexual assault on a young woman last Friday, when hundreds of students were celebrating the Carpa Universitaria.
The events, as reported by the Pamplona Municipal Police, took place around 22:00 in the vicinity of the big Amaya CD party.
The judge will decide this Wednesday on the status of the four detainees.
The police, in charge of the investigation, are also awaiting DNA tests.
The UPNA-NUP Feminist Group has expressed its support for the victim and has reported that no preventive and assistance measures have been taken at such events, although it was informed that there would be "professionals" until 02:00 in the morning.
For this reason, the group recalls in a statement, last year it was refused entry to this area after years of work to inform and raise awareness of male violence in it, while calling for the creation of safe spaces and greater involvement of the entire university community, stressing that "prevention saves, silence and exclusion, no".
