The Vitoria-Gasteiz Local Police arrested a 21-year-old man early on Saturday for an alleged crime of gender-based violence injury for assaulting his partner and taking his mobile phone.
According to the local police, the events took place around 8:30 a.m. , when a citizen reported seeing a man assaulting a woman in Santa Barbara Square.
The officers went to the scene and found the couple, and after separating the two met each of them and the witness, the patrol searched the man and found the woman's mobile phone and an earring in a pocket, and arrested the alleged aggressor.
