Ostiral honetan, Pasaiako Albaola ontziolak une historikoa biziko du, duela hamarkada bat baino gehiago berreraikitzen hasi ziren XVI. mendeko San Juan baleontzi ospetsuaren erreplikaren kroskoa uretaratuko baitute.
Donostia 2016 Europako Kultur Hiriburutzaren proiektu enblematikoenetako batek zorroztasunez eta pazientziaz berreskuratu ditu duela bost mende erabilitako erriberako arotzeria teknikak. Ontziko pieza bakoitza eskuz egin dute, euskal ontzigileei ospea eman zieten jatorrizko metodoei jarraituz.
Kroskoak, erabat amaituta, inflexio-puntu bat markatzen du 1978an Red Bayn (Kanada) aurkitutako jatorrizko pezioaren azterketetan oinarritutako berreraikuntza zientifikoaren prozesuan.
