Jenofa Berhokoirigoin and the On.eus portal have received the main Rikardo Arregi awards
The Bastero Cultural Center in Andoain hosted this Wednesday's Rikardo Arregi Awards , which recognize the best works in journalism and communication in Basque. The Journalism Award has been awarded to journalist Jenofa Berhokoirigoin ofArgiaand the KCommunication Award hasbeen awarded to the On.eus portal.
The highest award in journalism has been awarded to journalist Jenofa Berhokoirigoin of Argia, a profession that has been going on for centuries trying to adapt to the new times for the report. The journalist has been grateful for rewarding her efforts to do a different journalism from the Euskera and the Euskera. She has also dedicated the award to the farmers, "to all those who make the choice of popular cultivation, who look the other way, but society needs you, and we will continue to tell you, as we say, that we are not neutral."
For its part, the Communication Award has been awarded to the On.eus portal, a website that offers tools to live in Basque in the French Basque Country and was published in September to help with this task. The members who have received the recognition have said that the award is to be welcomed because the Basque and Basque world is "quite precarious". "It is true that it is not always easy to work in the community, and it is to be welcomed that the work we do is recognized here," they add, "because it is obvious that the Basque is not in a good situation."
On the other hand, Jakoba Errekondo has received the milestone of honor for her work The Garden of Life, which has received thanks and has proclaimed that the garden lives and will live: "We want to revolutionize today's world to reap the harvest of love."
The other finalists of the journalism award have been Goiena, for her essay Datetatik tiriraka; the producer Baleuko, for Ur handitan; Palestine, for her endless conflict; and Nagore Arin, for her documentary and chronicle about the BasqueFestival Berria n Boise.
The Communications Awards are: Elhuyar for the Whirlwind Project; Ulu Media for the HOWL digital media; and GUKA for the Castellanomanchor Machine campaign;
