Extension of public transport bonuses in Gipuzkoa by 2026
The Gipuzkoa Territorial Transport Authority has approved the extension of discounts onpublic transport in the territory by 2026.
The President of the Authority and Member of Parliament for Mobility, Tourism and Management of Gipuzkoa, Azahara Dominguez, has reported in a statement that at an extraordinary meeting held on Monday he approved the accession to the discounts provided for in the Royal Decree of the Spanish Government.
Thus, in 2026, minors will continue to travel free of charge until they reach the age of 15; young people between the ages of 15 and 25 will receive a 50% bonus on public transport and other users 40%, the cost of which will be borne by the Spanish Government at 20% and the remaining 20% by the competent local authorities.
