A boar was intercepted on the runway
A plane from Madrid has been unable to land and the flight has been diverted to Santiago, and the same has happened to another flight from Milan.
A boarentered the runway at Coruña Airport , forcing the airporttoclose today, air authority sources reported.
When the animal was on the runway, a plane covering the Madrid-A Coruña route was unable to land and had to head for Santiago. "I'm sorry I brought it to Santiago," the pilot lamented, but clarified that he had no choice.
Another aircraft from Milan (Italy) had to be diverted to another airport.
"Once again, I have to apologize, but that's the way it is," the commander added. The pilot said. "The animal has entered the airport area and for safety the runway has been closed." He also thanked the passengers for being calm.
