San Silvestre races: a perfect opportunity to finish the year running and partying
As for the capitals of Hego Euskal Herria, the San Silvestre race will begin at 12:30 in Vitoria-Gasteiz, at 16:30 in Bilbao and at 16:45 in Pamplona.
As the last day of the year, as usual, there will be San Silvestre races in eleven cities and towns of Euskal Herria.
In total, there will be more than 150 races: 8 in Álava, 31 in Bizkaia, 45 in Gipuzkoa and 66 in Navarre.
The oldest in the Spanish state is Galdakao, the first to be played in 1961.
Among the most famous is Beasain, which this year celebrates its 50th edition and in which 400 people have signed up to participate.
The San Silvestre races usually have a journey of about five kilometers, although in some places they are longer.
