A number of seismic movements took place last night in the Sierra de Cadiz and in the province of Malaga during the low-intensity earthquake, with a maximum intensity of 3.6 and a depth of one kilometre.
According to information collected by the Spanish Geographic Institute, the first movement detected occurred at 1:46 in Benaocaz, with a magnitude of 2.4 degrees and a depth of 40 kilometres.
On the other hand, the first was detected in El Bosque at 5.56, with a force of 2.8 degrees and a depth of four kilometres.
In the province of Malaga, the largest earthquake has occurred in the municipality of Jimera de Líbar, at 02:43 hours, a 3.6 degree earthquake at a depth of one kilometre.
There has also been another in the same township of magnitude 2.6; another in Benalauria (magnitude 2.5); three in Cortes de la Frontera (magnitude 2.2, 2.4, 1.6); and one in Juzcar (magnitude 1.5).
The Andalusian Government delegate in Malaga, Patricia Navarro, explained last Saturday that "normal hydrogeological phenomenaare in long and hard rains, according to expert reports, and do not pose a structural risk ".
