47.3% of teenage students in Álava have ever consumed online pornography
The work carried out by the City of Vitoria-Gasteiz, the Vital Foundation and the research group PSIDES of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) on the consumption of online pornography of minors in Álava shows that minors in Álava have their first contact with pornography at the age of 12.
47.3 per cent of adolescent students in Álava have ever consumed online pornography, 67.5 per cent among boys and 32.5 per cent among girls, and 44 per cent of young people say that they continue to consume pornography today, and again consumption is much higher among boys (80.3 per cent).
This has been demonstrated by a report by the City Council of Vitoria-Gasteiz, the Vital Foundation and the research group PSIDES of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) on the consumption of child pornography online in Álava, the aim of which was to know to what extent teenage online pornography is consumed and, knowing this, to know its relationship with important psychosocial variables such as sexting, online victimization, perception of risks, self-esteem, empathy, emotional intelligence, perceived social support and sexist attitudes.
