Ortuella sports center closed after sinking part of the gym deck
The collapse of part of the deck at the Ortuella Municipal Sports Centre in the vicinity of the gym has forced the immediate closure of the sports facilities, as well as the closure of the athletics track until the safety of the premises is guaranteed.
One of the main beams of the structure has been broken and damaged. According to the first assessments, the piece has been broken "in half", causing part of the roof to fall on the affected area.
Despite the extent of the decline, there has been no personal injury. At the time of the incident, there were no users in the area, so only material damage has been recorded.
The City Council has cordoned off the area and initiated a technical inspection to assess the extent of the damage and to determine what needs to be done.
