Muskiz and Abanto's neighbors will demonstrate this Sunday after their flight to Petronor
In addition, the neighbourhood platform has convened an assembly to discuss other mobilizations and the possibility of going to court on 15 March.
Two excursions from Abanto and Muskiz to Petronor have been scheduled for this Sunday to show their opposition to managing this week's incident at the refinery, which resulted in high levels of benzene.
The company Petronor had a problem on Thursday morning in one of its petrol tanks, which caused part of the petrol to evaporate and spill its volatile fraction into the air. The Basque Government recommended residents in the area to stay at home until those potentially toxic values dropped on Friday afternoon.
The Stop Variant Las Karreras Neighborhood Platform has called for a demonstration that will end at 12:00 from Trinity Square at the Petronor Gate to "show on the street the anger" of Abanto's neighbors at this latest incident and the effects of this industrial activity on the region.
"Our health is not for sale," the association states in its call.
He has also denounced the 'backward step' in the warning to the public about the high levels of benzene, which were detected in the morning, but the recommendations of the Basque Government to stay at home and close doors and windows did not arrive until evening.

Other neighbourhood associations, trade unions and parties such as EH Bildu have announced that they will join the demonstrations against Petronor and will reproach citizens for delaying information about the latest leak at the Bizkaia refinery.
