A man has been arrested in Bilbao for seriously injuring a man with a glass in a nighttime entertainment facility
In the early morning hours of Sunday, the Ertzaintza arrested a 23-year-old accused of an injury offence for violently assaulting another man in a nighttime entertainment facility in Bilbao, whose 33-year-old victim suffered serious injuries after being hit in the face with a glass glass and had to be taken to hospital.
The incident occurred around 04:30 on Mazarredo Street, when a patrol witnessed a fight and approached the scene. Officers found a man with wounds to the cheekbone and his left eye completely closed. After gathering testimony, they confirmed that the attack had taken place inside a leisure establishment.
The victim was taken to Cruces Hospital because of the severity of the injuries. The alleged aggressor was located in the vicinity and, when arrested, tried to confront him violently and beat one of the officers, so he was also arrested for an attack on authority. Once the proceedings have been completed, he will be brought before the Bilbao Guard Court.
