Five young people between the ages of 19 and 21 were arrested this Thursday in Vitoria-Gasteiz on charges of assaulting a minor with a knife, according to the Basque Government's Department of Security.
The incident took place around 6.30 p.m. on Huetos Avenue, and a Ertzaintza patrol located the injured victim, who was taken to Txagorritxu Hospital.
The investigation has revealed that the alleged perpetrators fled in a vehicle and were intercepted shortly thereafter in Murgia. The five persons inside have been identified by the officers. In the vehicle, a bag with knives and hammers has been found and seized.
The detainees have been arrested on charges of attempted murder and taken to police stations. The investigation remains open.
