The woman who set fire to a canvas with her partner inside has been provisionally released
Several witnesses from the Atxuri neighbourhood saw that the woman was setting fire. The injured man was taken to Basurto hospital, where he is still admitted.

The woman of 45, arrested this Wednesday in Bilbao, was taken to court yesterday and, according to judicial sources this Friday morning, the Bilbao Examining Court ordered her provisional release. The woman was arrested after setting fire toa canvas with her partner inside.
The arrest was carried out by agents of the Bilbao Municipal Police, where witnesses indicated that the woman had thrown something into the canvas through a slit of the door and that the fire immediately broke out, at which point her partner was inside. The victim was taken to the hospital in Basurto, where she is still being held.
Fire and arrest
According to the Department of Safety and Security, the incident occurred around 10.15 p.m. on Wednesday, whenemergency services learned that there was a fire on a canvas in the Atxuri neighbourhood, including a person.
The Bilbao Municipal Police, the Ertzaintza, the Fire Department and the ambulance went to the scene. After putting out thefire and treating the victim, who was unconscious, the officers learned from witnesses that a woman had thrown something inside and that the flame had subsequently ignited.
Attempted murder
The woman, who had a small burn on the knuckles of one hand, was arrested in the vicinity of the incident as the alleged perpetrator of an attempted murder, after which she was placed atthe disposal of the Ertzaintza, which has taken over the investigation.
The 48-year-old victim was transferred to the hospital resuscitation area, where she is still awaiting further development. The 45-year-old woman, the alleged perpetrator, has been brought before the court.
