Former Rector of Deusto José María Guibert dies
The Jesuit and former rector of the University of Deusto, José María Guibert Ucin, died at the age of 64. Tomorrow, Monday, the funeral for him will be held at the Loiola shrine at 7:00 p.m., being of Azpeitiarra origin.
Bachelor of Engineering and Theology, Guibert has been associated with the University of Deusto for almost 30 years. Industria worked as a professor at the Technology Department, was vice-rector of the San Sebastian campus, and was rector between 2013 and 2023.
The book about the abduction of Guiber's father, the story of his abduction by the anti-capitalist autonomous commandos, is well known. He presented his book La caverna in 2024.
