A man has been arrested in Pamplona on charges of attempting to sexually assault a woman in the Rochapea
The attack took place early in the morning in the Trinitarios area of Pamplona/Iruña, where three young people heard and helped the victim, who was treated following the protocol of sexual assault, while the 38-year-old detainee is awaiting trial.
The Pamplona Municipal Police have arrested a 38-year-old man accused of attempting to rape a woman in the Trinitarios area of the Pamplona Rochapea district.
The incident occurred after four o'clock in the morning, when the alleged aggressor followed the victim on several streets of the Navarre capital and thenthrew her on the floor before hitting her and touching her, and tried to lower her pants.
Three young men in the vicinity heard the woman's cries for help and immediately intervened to stop the attack, then reported the incident and the police arrested the man.
The victim was treated after the assault in accordance with the protocol established for cases of sexual violence. The detainee remains in police custody pending trial as the alleged perpetrator of a sexual assault offence.
