The residents of the two Pasaia buildings have been evicted from their homes due to a landslide caused by the heavy rain that has fallen in the last few hours, the Pasaia City Council reported on Friday.
The detachment took place on Thursday night on the San Pedro District Fronton Wire . The residents of Morales Oliver Street, No. 8 and No. 9, from Langa Minor and Gran Langa, have had to be evicted.
The area has been cordoned off as a security measure because the terrain is unstable and the road between Morales Oliver and Zamatetehas been cut , as detailed by the Pasaia City Council on its website.
Since it is not safe for the residents to return home, the social services of the City Council and the Provincial Councilhave taken care of their accommodation.
In total, ten familiesare affected. According to the Council in a statement, five of them have been accommodated, at least from Friday to Wednesday.
Although there has been no personalinjury, there has been damage to trees and roads.
The City Council will be responsible for maintenance and stabilization, but no deadlines have been set for the completion of the work.
