A criminal network operating in Bizkaia, Burgos, Toledo and distributing ketamine and fentanyl has been dismantled
As a result of the macro-operation, 16 people have been arrested (8 of them in Bizkaia) and some 160,000 doses of narcotic substances have been seized, including 18.5 kilograms of ketamine. Without adulteration, the material would be worth 2.4 million euros on the black market.
The Civil Guard has dismantled a major criminal organization dedicated to drug trafficking and money laundering and arrested 16 people in Burgos, Bizkaia and Toledo in a macro-operation in four provinces in which more than 160,000 doses of narcotics and numerous weapons were seized, a particularly dangerous group, the Civil Guard said.
The operation, led by the Organic Judicial Police Unit of the Burgos Command, involved 300 perches in simultaneous interventions in Burgos, Bizkaia, Cantabria and Toledo.
On Tuesday, 26 May, 16 simultaneous searches were carried out on 15 homes and one on an industrial ship, Bizkaia (9), Burgos (5), Cantabria (1) and Toledo (1), which allowed more than 160,000 doses of narcotics to be seized, estimated to be 2.5 million euros in blackening the market.
The substances seized include 10 injectable fentanyl blisters (a substance not previously detected in Burgos), 9,184 grams of pink cocaine, 179 grams of cocaine, 3,001 grams of speed, 18,648 grams of ketamine, 850 units of amphetamine/ecstasy, 3,495 grams of hashish, 24,280 grams of marijuana, 325 units of drugs and 350 grams of substance.
Tools and material have also been seized for their production, cultivation, weighing and dosing, which is why the Civil Guard considers that three clandestine and indoor marijuana plantations, as well as 15 drug outlets in Burgos, Bizkaia, Toledo and Cantabria, have been dismantled.
Thanks to the police operation, 16 members of the criminal organization have been arrested, 8 of them in Bizkaia, aged between 28 and 62. Four of them have already been placed in prison and six others will be taken into custody today, who could also be sent to prison for material found at home.
The Civil Guard has also pointed out that three pistols, one revolver and 200 rounds of ammunition have been found, demonstrating the danger of the group, which has explained that weapons were used to intimidate customers who did not pay, as well as to defend themselves, as well as 3 vehicles, computer equipment and 6 telephones, as well as more than 62,000 euros in cash.
