United Airlines will offer direct flights between Bilbao and New York until September 23
The company will offer three flights in the week A between Loiu and Newmark airports, a service that first started operating last summer and received more than 14,400 passengers in 2025.
United Airlines has recovered the direct link between Bilbao and Newark/New York three times a week this summer, with flights starting on May 31 and running until September 23.
According to the company, flights will depart from Loiu airport at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, while flights from New York to Bilbao will depart on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 10:45 a.m. and will operate until September 22.
United is the only airline directly connecting Bilbao to the United States, and last summer more than 14,400 passengers used the 100 flights offered by the company.
In this context, the director of Bilbao Airport, Ivan Grande, welcomed the return of United Airlines to the Basque Country this summer: "We hope that the relationship that began in 2025 will last for many years," he said.
