Former Tudelano President Ramón Lázaro has been provisionally released but with a ban on leaving the state

The former president of the Tudelano CD and current head of the football team , Ribera Nabarra, theCorellan businessman Ramón Lázaro ,has beenprovisionally released after being detained for three days . The police believe he was the leader of a sports corruption plot that shaped the  matches, committed various economic and corporate crimes and is being investigated with his mother and five other friends.

Lazarus, his mother and the five others investigated werearrested by the National Police on Monday, 8 June, in a joint police operation with Europol and Interpol. Lazarus and his mother have been in police custody for three days, while the other five investigators were released on the same Monday, without passing through court.

After passing through the court, the judge on Wednesday ordered the provisional release of the businessman from Corella, who must appear in the court closest to his home on the 1st and 15th of the same month, and has prohibited him from leaving Spanish territory and has had to hand over his ID.

On the other hand, he has released Lazarus' mother without charge, but on condition that she go to court every time she is asked to.

3 records, 1 request and blocking of assets 

On Monday, the police conducted a police operation against this network in which investigators conducted three searches , one of them at the Lazarus company in Corella, confiscating keys, terminals and documentation associated with an account containing cryptocurrencies sent from outside Spain.

Finally, the police reported that cash had been seized and that real estate, vehicles and bank accounts had been blocked. 

The investigating judge considers that as a result of these records and interventions\u00A0 there is no risk of concealment, alteration or destruction of evidence, nor does he believe that there is a risk of escape .

Fixing party results and stealing money

The court order, which can be appealed for reform, states that Lazarus "began numerouscriminal activities for illicit enrichment with intent "after arriving at Tudelano in 2022 and Ribera Navarra in 2023. 

Among other things, he is accused of leading a network that managed the results of football games in order to collect betting money.

The judge has also accused him of "appropriating large sumsof money "owned by the two football teams he had under his leadership, on the pretext of" simulated loans or repayment of them, "with which they believe he bought four homes and put them in someone else's name.
