The police believe he was the leader of a sports corruption plot that shaped the matches, committed various economic and corporate crimes and is being investigated with his mother and five other friends.
Lazarus, his mother and the five others investigated werearrested by the National Police on Monday, 8 June, in a joint police operation with Europol and Interpol. Lazarus and his mother have been in police custody for three days, while the other five investigators were released on the same Monday, without passing through court.
