Basque Country and Navarre, with more than 95% results in University Access Tests
More than 24,700 students have applied to the PAU in Hego Euskal Herria, with significant differences according to language models: in the Basque Country 96.80% of those who have studied in Basque have passed the test and in the Spanish model 89.71%, while in Navarre the two linguistic models have exceeded 96%.

Basque and Navarre Baccalaureate students have achieved very high results in the regular call for the 2025-2026 University Access Test (PAU), with approval rates exceeding 95% in both territories, according to provisional data published this Wednesday by university officials.
Inthe case of the Basque Country, the University of the Basque Country/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea (UPV/EHU) has reported that 95.26% of the students presented have passed the test, that is, 11 507 students have passed the test out of the 12,080 students who have completed the entry phase.
In Navarre, the surge rate was 96.98% in the first call, confirming the stable trend of high success in university access.
Basque Country: over 1,1500 and territorial differences
At the University of the Basque Country/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea, the regular call has shown a slight downward trend compared to the previous year, with a surge rate of 97.92% in comparable data.
By territory, Gipuzkoa leads the resultswith an improvement rate of 97.92% (4,321 eligible students out of 4,413 submitted), followed by Álava with 94.24% (1,602 out of 1,700) and Bizkaia with 93.79% (5,575 out of 5,944).
According to language models, 96.80 per cent of students who have studied in Basque have passed the test (9,145 out of9,447), compared with 89.71 per cent in the Spanish model (2,362 out of 2,633).
A total of 952 students from Higher Degree Training Cycles have participated in the admission phase, with the aim of improving the access grade.
Navarre: almost 97% improvement rate and few absences
In Navarre, high academic achievement has also been confirmed, 96.98% of the students presented have passed the USP, 108 have been suspended and 7 students have not taken the exam.
According to language models, in Models G and A (Spanish), 2,564 students have passed the test since 2,642 (97.05%). In Model D (Basque), 906 students (96.79%) have passed the test, with only one absence among 937 enrolled.
These data confirm the stability of results in the foral community, maintaining levels similar to those of previous calls.
Voluntary phase: more than 8,700 examinations
In the voluntary phase of the PSU, 8,771 examinations were prepared, of which 1,854 were not carried out.
Of the tests carried out, 4,920 (71.13 per cent) have passed and 1,997 (28.87 per cent) have been suspended, bringing the total number of students enrolled at this stage to 4,148, of whom only 563 did the voluntary part.
Calendar and next steps
Provisional ratings have been publishedon theofficial ACCESS platform and theuniversity portal The review period for exams will be open from 11 to 15 June.
The final results will be published on June 22, following a review of the claims.
The extraordinary call will take place on 30 June and 1 and 2 July, and registration will be open from 18 to 23 June.
