Two arrested in Bilbao for beating and knocking down a young man
The attack took place at 3.30 p.m. outside a nighttime entertainment venue on Mazarredo Street, where the victim was taken by an ambulance to Basurto Hospital with several stitches on his head.
The Ertzaintza arrested two young men, aged 20 and 24, this morning in Bilbao for beating and knocking down a 23-year-old.
According to the Basque Government's Department of Security, the attack took place around 3.30 p.m. outside a leisure facility on Mazarredo Street in central Bilbao.
After learning of the attack, several Ertzaintza patrols have come to the scene and found the young man on the ground, unconscious, who had been attacked and who had fled.
An ambulance took the assaulted young man to Basurto hospital, where he needed several stitches on his head.
Several witnesses have told the officers that the victim has been beaten in the face by a young man who has been knocked unconscious.
Then a second young man, taking advantage of the victim's presence on the ground, kicked him in the head.
The two authors have left with a third person, but the third person has not been involved in the attack.
A few minutes later, with the physical description provided by the witnesses, the officers identified and arrested the alleged attackers for an offence of wounding.
