The man took a stick from an elderly person and used it to hit some passers-by in the street and attacked and injured the officers who came to the scene.
The police used the means at their disposal to deal with the man, who was subsequently transferred to a medical facility.
Reactions
The City Council has extended its support to the injured officers and praised their work, while ESAN has expressed its sadness at the death and supported both the family and the police officers who intervened, arguing that the action was in accordance with the principles of legality, necessity, congruence and proportionality.
