San Fermín health device, ready

Emergency groups, both professionals and volunteers, who will be involved in this year's sanfermines are already in place to have the device ready, which, as Health Counselor Fernando Domínguez has pointed out, is perfect and can be attended to at any time.

He said so during his meeting with those responsible for this device and recalled that this year, as a novelty, the same device for the July 6 txupinazo will be launched on the 10th in the Little Txupinazo.

Despite the magnitude of the party that the device will have to deal with, Dominguez recalled that the health system will provide normal care, as well as extra-festive needs. To this end, groups have been strengthened and shifts reorganized, especially for lock-ups.

Where to go in case of an emergency?

The Department of Health has recommended that the population, if they need health care during the holidays, go to their health centres on normal working days and, outside of it, to extra-hospital emergenciesat the Doctor St. Martin and Buztintxuri centres, leaving hospital emergencies for the most urgent cases.

Nursing telephone service (948 290 290) will remain normal during the Sanfermines every day.

Special lockdown device.

The special arrangements for the care of the injured in the enclosures will consist of nine health care posts on the fence itself , which will be staffed by doctors, nurses and lifeguards, as well as eight other relief posts with lifeguards, and an infirmary in the bullring as usual.

Along 848 metres, health care stations will be available approximately every 50 metres and the entire device willbe coordinated by 112-SOS Navarra.

Little Txupinazo, the main novelty

On 6 July, on the occasion of the Txupinazo, there will be several health care posts in Santo Domingo (Department of Education), in the church of San Saturnino and in the Paseo Sarasatea-Diputación ,and the same device will be repeated on the 10th, the day of the Little Txupinazo.

A device calledMultiple Victim Incidentswill also be put in place to cater for an unusual number of victims, which will be located in the Department of Education parking lot .

The Red Cross will also install a response truck to this device at the intersection of Carlos III and Roncesvalles,while the DYA will install a street hospital in San Francisco Square.

This year, as was the case last year, two primary care units will be available to the Red Cross to deal with minor pathologies arising from the party, one of which, like every year, will be located at the Vázquez de Mella school , the other at the Plazade Recoletas.
