More than 1,000 agents will be involved this year in securing security at Bayonne parties

More than 1,150 police and private agents and more than 300 civil protection and health personnel will be availablefrom 15 July to ensure safety at Baiona parties. Gaur has presented the security device of the holidays and the authorities have stressed that the main objective is to prevent cases of violence that occurred years ago, as well as sexual assault, for which, in addition to the officers, 150 video surveillance cameras will be launched. 

The Chief Public Prosecutor of Bayona, Mariel Garrigos, has called this year for caution in the face of last year's incident with drunken minors. "The protection of minors is our priority. We do not want to intimidate parents, but we do want to warn them of their responsibility," she said at a press conference.

This year's festivities coincide with the football World Cup, and it has been announced that during the days that France plays, the security device will be reinforced, and a giant screen will be installed in Little Bayonne. 

Finally, if the heatalert were to be activated, they stressed that they have physical and mobile devices ready to allow people to get wet.

More than a million people are expected in the labour capital from 15 to 19 July. As in previous years, 15 euros will be charged to those who want access to the festival, eight of which will be strictly monitored.
