The Ertzaintza has arrested a55-year-oldman inBilbao, accused of a hate crime because he has allegedly painted\u00A0 with expressions of hatred against the Muslim community\ u00A0, on the facade of a mosque inthe neighbourhood of Santutxu and other places around it.
The events took place around 9:30 a.m. . Anternational Police received a warning that a person was painting with expressions of hatred against the Muslim community.
Thanks to the description provided by the witnesses, the officers found a man in the vicinity shortly afterwards, who wasstill carrying several jars of spray, and after being identified he was arrested.
The manis under investigation for an alleged hate crime and an administrative file has been opened for material damageto both the facade of this mosque and other outer walls.
