Zuia City Council will make night water cuts to ensure supply
The cut is in effect from 22:00 to 08:00, and the use of showers in municipal swimming pools is now prohibited.

The City of Zuia (Álava) has begun to make night water cuts (22:00-08: 00) due to the "serious situation" caused by high temperatures and the lack of rain, which began yesterday, Friday, and has also banned the use of showers in municipal swimming pools.
In a message posted on their website, the City Council states that these measures are "temporary" and will be updated according to developments.
The mayor of Zuia, Unai Gutierrez, has explained to Radio Vitoria that the problem has been caused by "water shortages, high consumption, high temperatures and unfavourable weather conditions" and has decided to "take steps" to ensure supply.
The city had been warning of the problem for some time, and this very week it banned the use of watering, swimming pools and cleaning.
Zuia is a small municipality of the Gorbeialdea Squad of 2400 inhabitants located at the foot of Mount Gorbeia in northern Álava.
