Two women rescued Aizkorri and Jaizkibel After the casualties in the mountains
Emergency services rescued two women on Thursday in two separate accidents in the Aizkorri and Jaizkibel mountains , both involving Ertzaintza helicopters.
The two mountaineers received medical attention at the scene of the accident before being taken to hospital.
Fall in Aizkorri
The first rescue took place shortly after 3 p.m. in a wooded area of Mount Aizkorri, where the woman suffered an ankle injury and was unable to continue.
So the 64-year-old woman has been rescued and taken to hospital.
Tragedy in Jaizkibel
The second, on the other hand, took place around 4 p.m., when a mountaineer had difficulty breathing on Mount Jaizkibel, and those present called SOS Deiak 113.
Rescue teams have had to mobilize another helicopter to assist the 70-year-old victim.
