The Ertzaintza is investigating a 23-year-old accused of an alleged crime of sexual assault after touching a woman without her consent at a party in Santurtzi (Bizkaia).
According to the Department of Safety and Security, the attack took place on the night of Thursday to Friday and will be referred to the courts once the proceedings against the alleged perpetrator have been completed.
As a result of these events, and in a sign of support for the victim, the txosnas of Santurtzi suspended their activity in the early morning hours of Saturday, from 00:00 to 00:30. They also placed warning signs of the attack and declared that they would not tolerate such attacks in the festive compound.
