A woman arrested in Vitoria-Gasteiz for stabbing her ex-partner
A 33-year-old woman was arrested on Friday by the Ertzaintza in a home in Vitoria-Gasteiz for stabbing her ex-partner, a 42-year-old man whose victim is admitted to Txagorritxu Hospital and against whom the Ertzaintza has opened proceedings as an investigator for violating a court order to remove her.
The attack took place at around 11.30 p.m. this Friday in a house in the Coronación district of Vitoria-Gasteiz, where police officers came to the scene and crossed the stairs with a man with a knife to the chest and a cut to the face, who told them that the attacker was his ex-partner and that he was at home.
The woman, who had traces of blood on her clothes, confessed that after the man showed up at the house, an argument broke out between the two and he attacked her with a knife about 12 inches of blade, which the police found in the kitchen.
As a result of the incident, the woman was taken to police stations as a detainee on charges of attempted murder and is also being investigated for an attack on an officer of the Ertzaintza, who will be taken into custody after the police proceedings have been completed.
According to the Ertzaintza, these two individuals have a history of assaulting each other.
