A study in Navarre reveals the physical and mental deterioration of food bank users
A study led by the Food Banking Foundation of Navarre and the Public University of Navarre has found that the health gap between food recipients and the rest of the population is "deep."

Poverty not only empties the refrigerator, but also worsens health. This is one of the main conclusions of a study promoted by the Food Banking Foundation of Navarre and the Public University of Navarre, published in the international scientific journal Healthcare, which analyses the health and quality of life of users of Food Banks.
This study has revealed that the health gap between food users and the rest of the population is "deep."
62.9% of users suffer from anxiety or depression, compared with 22% of the Navarre population, and 55.7% report pain, 20 points above the Navarre average.
The general population scores its position at an average of 88.1 out of 100, but the users of the Food Bank barely reach 73.5 points.
