The 45th edition of the Classical San Sebastián cycling race will be held in Lareunbat, August 1, with departure and arrival at the Alameda del Boulevardde San Sebastián, with a journey of211.1 km, which will affect traffic in Gipuzkoa as usual.
The test , which will begin at 11.05 a.m. and end between 4.28 p.m. and 5.02 p.m., according to forecasts made by the organisers, will be coordinated by the Basque Government in the security apparatus and will support the cycling test (with the participation of agents of the Ertzaintza Traffic Unit, Mobile Brigade, Surveillance and Rescue and Police Stations, together with the local police of the municipalities of Gipuzkoa).
The roads through which the Classical San Sebastian will pass will be closed to traffic 20to 30 minutes before the head of the race and will be reopened after all participants have passed. The competition will not affect the high capacity roads or the main road network, except at some points.
Thus, on the GI-21 (km 0.8 of the race) the two departures from the GI-20 to the Donostiarra district of Añorga will be closed from 10.40 a.m. On the GI-21 (km 134.1 of the race) the two departures from the GI-20 to Añorga will be cut off from 1.50 p.m.
At GI-636, at kilometre 147.9, the road will be cut off and traffic will be diverted to the Molinao roundfrom 14:10; at kilometre 171.7, the road will be cut and traffic will be diverted to Iparralde Avenue from 14:45; and at kilometre 196.4, the GI-636 road will be cut off and traffic will be diverted to Lezo from 15:20.
The impact and restrictions on trafficwill be reported through variable messaging panels on the Basque road network, as reported by the Basque Department of Safety.
Traffic incidents in Getxo
