Two men have been arrested in Getxo for assaulting two plainclothes Ertzainas when they came to the warning of a fight

Two Ertzainas, a woman and a man, were injured this morning in Algorta (Bizkaia) after being attacked by several men who had previously fought each other  . The two detainees, aged 27 and 28, will be taken into custody at the end of the police proceedings as alleged perpetrators of an attack on law enforcement officials.

According to the Department of Safety and Security, the events took place at 02:30 this Thursday, when an ununiformed Ertzaintza patrol was alerted to an altercation while carrying outpublic protection work, in which three men reportedly assaulted each other outside a bar and were bleeding.

When the patrol arrived, trying to identify those involved, one of them began to attack another again, and the officer and his colleague clearly identified themselves as policemen.

However, the two men began to beat the officers with their fists, and one of them took a glass bottle and made a gesture to attack the officers.

Both officers have used an expansive statutory personal defense to stop the men from acting, but they have ignored them and continued to attack them.
