A 39-year-old man has been arrested in Santander on charges of killing his partner

On Friday, the National Police arrested in Santander a 39-year-old man accused of killing his 27-year-old partner in a house on Perines Street in the city centre around noon.

The detainee himself has called the police and acknowledged the facts, so the case is being investigated as alleged male violence, according to the police in a statement.

In particular, at 12.30 p.m., the 091 National Police Service received acall requesting that the woman be transferred to the house, where the officers found the womanwith wounds that caused bleeding, which, according to the first indications, could have been caused by a knife.

Subsequently, emergency services have been requested to come to the scene, although health personnel have only been able to confirm the death of the woman.

The couple of the deceased has been arrested at the scene after confessing to the perpetrator, who has subsequently been transferred to the Santander National Police Station, where the protocol established for cases of male violence has been activated.

Thus, officers specializing in the investigation of these events are conducting proceedings to clarify the circumstances in which the murder took place.

The Government Delegation in Cantabria has already forwarded to the Ministry of Equality the information gathered so far on this alleged male murder.
