A 69-year-old motorist died today after being seriously injured in a traffic accident in Valdegovia (Álava).
According to the Basque Government's Department of Safety, the accident took place on the A-2622 road at around 3.20 p.m.
The Ertzaintza, Civil Protection and health services have moved to the scene of the accident, from where the man has been taken to Txagorritxu Hospital with serious injuries, where he died hours later.
The Ertzaintza has opened an investigation to clarify the circumstances of the accident.
