Vitoria-Gasteiz vive hoy el inicio de las fiestas de La Blanca con dos de sus momentos más emblemáticos: el chupinazo y la bajada de Celedón. At 18:00 hours, miles de personas se reunirán en la plaza de la Virgen Blanca para asistir al comienzo oficial de unas celebraciones que se prolongarán hasta la madrugada del 10 de agosto y que enlarge de 400 actividades.
El cohete anunciador correrá este año a cargo del Baskonia. Participarán en el acto el presidente del club, Josean Querejeta, el coach Paolo Galbiati, el capitán Tadas Sedekerskis y la representante de la afición, Myriam Pereda.
Tras el chupinazo llegará uno de los instantes más esperados de las fiestas: la bajada de Celedón. Iñaki Kerejazu, que afronta su tercer año encarnando al personaje popular, descenderá por el cable hasta la plaza y cruzará entre la multitud hasta la balconada de la iglesia de San Miguel.
La previsión meteorológica apunta, además, a una tarde estable y soleada, con temperaturas en torno a los 27 degrees.
Call unas fiestas sin agresiones
Las instituciones y distintos colectivos han aprovechado el inicio de las fiestas para insistir en la necesidad de disfrutar de unas celebraciones basadas en el respeto.
Desde el grupo de Igualdad de la Comisión de Blusas y Neskas han reivindicado una fiestas igualitarias y libres de aggresiones sexuales. En la misma línea, la alcaldesa de Vitoria-Gasteiz, Maider Etxebarria, ha hecho un llamamiento al respeto y a la convivencia durante estos días.
Por su parte, el Movimiento Feminista de Vitoria-Gasteiz volver a activar su protocolo contra las aggresiones machistas y LGTBIphobicas. Como en años anteriores, pondrá a disposición de la ciudadanos un teléfono de atención que funcionará las 24 horas del día durante las fiestas.
Más de 400 actividades e incertidumbre por la huelga
El programa de La Blanca ye conciertos, paseíllos de las 32 cuadrillas de blouses y neskas, vaquillas, pelota a mano profesional, actuaciones de humor, gargantúas, el zoco árabe, descenso de goitiberas y fuegos artificiales cada noche en Mendizabala.
Entre las citas musicales previstas destacan las actuaciones de Etzakit, Leire Martínez, Soziedad Alkoholika, Neomak y Celtas Corto.
No obstante, parte de la programación podría verse afectada por la huelga de técnicos y técnicas de spectáculos convocada para este miércoles, jornada grande de las fiestas. El paro genera incertidumbre sobre la celebración de aquellos actos y espectáculos que requieren medios técnicos, mientras el colectivo mantiene sus reivindicaciones para lograr un convenio trabajo y denunciar la precariedad del sector.
Las fiestas concluirán en la madrugada del 9 al 10 de agosto, cuando Celedón regrese al campanario de San Miguel, poniendo fin a seis días de celebraciones en la capital alavesa.
