Due to the risk of a storm eruption, the authorities will activate weather alerts in the afternoon. Navarre is the most at risk, and with the exception of the Ribera, the orange alert will be activated elsewhere. Hail and strong winds are expected. In the ACV and Iparralde there will be a yellow warning for heavy rainfall and storms.
The orange alert (16:00-00: 00) will be active on the Cantabrian side, central area and Pyrenees of the Foral Community. The yellow warning (low risk) will be activated in the Ribera. In addition, two other yellow warnings will be activated for rains (15 l/m² in one hour) and extreme high temperatures (35-37 ° C).
In the Basque Autonomous Community (CAV), the Department of Safety of the Basque Government will activate from 6 p.m. (until midnight) the yellow warning for heavy rainfall. According to the forecast of Euskalmet, it is possible to accumulate more than 15 litres per square metre in one hour. Moderate to stormy showers, which may be locally strong in some areas.
It will be hot throughout the day, especially in Álava, so there will be a yellow warning for extreme high temperatures in this territory due to the possibility of the thermometer rising to 37 degrees Celsius, with maximum temperatures of 32 degrees Celsius in the interior of Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa and 27 degrees Celsius on the coast.
Due to the risk of storms, the Meteofranc has put Iparralde on notice today and tomorrow. Nafarroa will also maintain the yellow warning for this reason until tomorrow .
