A 10-year-old Biscayan boy is in a very serious condition at Cruces Hospital after being hit last night by a tractor in Espinosa de los Monteros, a Burundian town 30 kilometres from the border with Bizkaia, where many Basques spend the summer, as in the case of the minor and his family.
The accident occurred just before 10:30 p.m. in Sancho Garcia Square, for unknown reasons.
As soon as the 112 emergency services received the warning, the Burgos Civil Traffic Guard, the COS Civil Guard and the Sacyl Health Emergency Unit, which sent a basic life-support ambulance to the PAC doctors at Espinosa de los Monteros and a medicalized emergency unit (EMU).
After the accident, the child was taken to Cruces Hospital with serious injuries.
The Civil Guard has opened an investigation to clarify what happened.
