The 10-year-old Biscayan boy who was hit last Saturday by a tractor in Espinosa de los Monteros (Burgos) died, EITB confirmed on Tuesday.
The accident occurred just before 10:30 p.m. in Sancho Garcia Square, for unknown reasons.
As soon as the 112 emergency services received the warning, the Burgos Civil Traffic Guard, the COS Civil Guard and the Sacyl Health Emergency Unit, which sent a basic life-support ambulance to the PAC doctors at Espinosa de los Monteros and a medicalized emergency unit (EMU).
After the accident, the child was taken to Cruces Hospital with serious injuries.
The Civil Guard has opened an investigation to determine what happened, the first hypothesis being that the child ran into the road and was not seen by the tractor driver, who suffered severe blows to the head and legs.
