According to the Directorate of Traffic, the evolution of the day has been variable. At noon, at 2.30 p.m., there was an autopilot in the direction of Bayonne at the AP-8 in Irun. As the afternoon has progressed, the situation has calmed down in this direction and the congestion has shifted to the other side.

In the case of the Irun sense, the morning has begun calmly and smoothly, but early in the afternoon there have been delays of up to 3 kilometres in Biriatou. Towards 6:30 p.m. the congestion has increased to 7 kilometres. This huge volume of traffic is causing significant problems and slowdowns at this point in the AP-8, as well as at the roads and access to the area.
