A man arrested in Bilbao for cutting a young man's face with a bottle
The incident took place early this morning in Abando, while the city was celebrating Big Week. Two people were arrested for male violence in the txosnas.
The Ertzaintza arrested a young man in Bilbao this morning for cutting another boy's face with a bottle, who had to be taken to Cruces hospital to be treated for his wound.
According to the Department of Security of the Basque Government, the attack took place around four and twenty in themorning in the Abando district of central Bilbao, which is currently celebrating its Big Week.
Emergency services have received a call warning of the attack and officers have moved to the scene, who, in view ofthe injuries suffered by the 24-year-old victim , have requested health care and transferred the injured person to Cruces hospital.
According to information gathered by the officers, the wounded man and another 26-year-old boy have struggled and, as they were hitting each other, a third man, 23, has approached the victim with a broken bottle and injured his face.
Thus, the officers have arrestedthe 23-year-old for an offence of wounding. The victim and the 26-year-old boy have been found guilty of less serious bodily harm.
14 arrests
In total, the Bilbao Municipal Police arrested 14 people on the seventh day of the city's festivities, including two men for gender-based violence and two women for domestic violence.
It is reported that 66 complaints were received yesterday, 53 of which were filed for theft. In addition, agents have seized more than 70 kilos of unauthorized food.
Inside the txosnas area, two people have been arrested for gender-based violence, three for theft, one for attack, one for threats and one for domestic violence.
Outside the festive grounds, six arrests have been made for injuries, threats, theft, a court complaint, violation of a restraining order and domestic violence.
